Project Overview
Workitect is a premium office planning and workplace consultancy firm in Italy, designing environments based on organizational data analysis. Over time, the company's online architecture grew into a complex web of heterogeneous domains registered with various providers, running on a server structure with severe performance bottlenecks.
The objective was to migrate the entire system, consolidate the scattered domain assets under a single managed unit, resolve system-level plugins loops that degraded page load speeds, and transition mail servers without interrupting ongoing marketing campaigns.
Core Technical Accomplishments
- Multi-Registrar Domain Consolidation: Gathered and migrated multiple domains registered over the years across different providers under one centralized registry. This unified management guarantees easier upgrades, renewal security, and better long-term cost oversight.
- Performance Debugging & Code Analysis: Audited the active WordPress filesystem to remove loops and resource bottlenecks. Discovered and resolved legacy plugin loops that caused constant, redundant writing tasks to the disk and generated massive debug logs, restoring page load responses back to milliseconds.
- Webserver Migration & Advanced Cache: Configured a high-performance webserver, updating database parameters and codebase functions for modern compatibility. Implemented a robust server-side caching protocol to serve static content instantly.
- Zero-Downtime DNS & DKIM/SPF Setup: Migrated DNS entries, configured SPF records, and mapped DKIM parameters for mail authentication, preserving mail deliverability and ensuring zero service downtime for key promotional newsletters and marketing pipelines.
