Project Overview

Car Relax operates a high-capacity auto repair and logistics network across multiple warehousing sites in Northern and Southern Italy, serving thousands of active clients. To replace scattered local sheets, we engineered a centralized administrative platform designed to coordinate client onboarding, vehicle intake parameters, and multi-tier workflows.

The software guides repairs from initial vehicle acceptance to final diagnostics release, automatically tracking ordered parts, coordinating warehouse items, generating entry/exit receipt PDFs, and executing monthly database maintenance scripts.

Special emphasis was placed on the user interface design. Because the system is operated daily by non-technical workshop staff who may make operational mistakes under stress, the application hides all complex database logic, mathematical calculations, and automated scripts under the hood. This strict abstraction ensures a high level of data integrity while simplifying daily repair tasks.

Core Technical Implementations

  • Non-Technical UI Abstraction: Created a user-friendly frontend specifically designed for non-technical personnel. Complex operations and validation rules are abstracted away and run entirely under the hood, significantly reducing user entry errors during peak repair hours.
  • Centralized Multi-Site Operations: Consolidated disparate regional locations (Northern and Southern Italy hubs) into a single unified cloud database, enabling real-time client profile updates and vehicle status logging.
  • Automated Parts Tracking & Deductions: Connected repair work-orders directly to inventory levels. Replaced parts are auto-calculated and automatically deducted from the warehouse stock count upon ticket resolution.
  • Multi-Tier Permission Security: Designed granular access control layers. Management staff retains full database edit permissions, while floor mechanics access a fast, read-only interface dedicated to viewing active checklists.
  • Dynamic Document Engines: Built custom PDF generation bridges that auto-populate vehicle check-in reports, parts logs, and customer invoicing documents dynamically upon status changes.
  • Python-Driven System Maintenance: Integrated background Python automation scripts to audit stock inconsistencies, perform monthly balance reports, monitor server endpoints, and verify DNS records.
